Die Cast Club ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy covers both the Die Cast Club mobile app APP and the website WEB (diecastclub.app). Where a section applies only to one of them, it is labelled accordingly.
1. Who We Are
Die Cast Club is an independent platform for die-cast car collectors.

2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account Information
When you register, we collect your email address and password (stored encrypted) and your chosen username.
2.2 Profile Information (optional)
You may optionally provide a profile picture, your location (city or country), and your years of collector experience. None of this is required to use the app.
2.3 Collection Data
The die-cast cars you add to your garage, collection names and descriptions, cover images, favorites, and quantities.
2.4 Usage Analytics APP
The app uses Firebase Analytics (Google) to collect anonymised usage data: screens visited, search terms used within the app, login and registration events, and cars viewed. This data does not identify you personally and is used only to improve the app.
2.5 Crash Reports APP
The app uses Firebase Crashlytics (Google) to automatically collect crash reports, including device model, OS version, app version, and the stack trace at crash time. No personal data (email, username, collection) is included in crash reports.
2.6 Camera and Gallery APP
- Camera: used for OCR scanning to help identify die-cast cars. Images are processed locally on your device and are never sent to our servers.
- Gallery: images you choose to upload are stored on our secure CDN. This includes your profile picture, collection covers, photos attached to a sighting, and club or event images.
2.7 Location APP WEB
- Your device location: with your permission, we read your approximate location to centre the map on where you are and to sort nearby results. This is used on your device only and is never stored on our servers.
- Areas you follow: when you choose to receive alerts for a shop or a region, we store the coordinates and radius of the area you selected — not your position. You can change or remove a followed area at any time.
- Places you report: when you report a sighting or a restock, the name, address and coordinates of that place are stored and shown publicly, together with your username.
You can use the app without granting location permission. The map then opens on a default view instead of on your position.
2.8 Push Notifications APP
If you enable notifications, we store a device token issued by Firebase Cloud Messaging, along with your platform and language, so we can deliver alerts to the right device in the right language. Removing the app or disabling notifications stops this.
2.9 Community Content APP WEB
The app includes community features: sightings and restock reports, clubs, posts, events and attendance, plus following other collectors and confirming their reports. Content you create through these features is public and is associated with your username and profile picture. Reports you make about other users' content are visible only to us.
2.10 Catalogue Contributions APP
If you submit a new die-cast model to the catalogue, the details and images you provide are reviewed automatically by Google Gemini to check accuracy and detect duplicates before publication. Accepted contributions become part of the public catalogue and are credited to your username.
2.11 Website Tracking WEB
The website uses Google Analytics 4 for anonymised visitor statistics and Meta Pixel for marketing effectiveness measurement. These technologies are activated only after you accept cookies via the consent banner. They are not used in the mobile app.

We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your collection data for advertising.
4. Data Storage and Security
- Account and collection data is stored on Supabase, protected by Row-Level Security — only you can access your own data.
- Images are stored on our CDN (
cdn.diecastclub.app) over encrypted HTTPS. - All communication between the app and our servers uses HTTPS encryption.

6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate information via your profile settings.
- Delete your account and all associated data directly in the app, under Settings. You can also write to contact@diecastclub.app and we will do it for you.
- Export your data — contact us at contact@diecastclub.app.
7. Children's Privacy
Die Cast Club is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or email. The "Last Updated" date at the top will always reflect the current version.
